With a day off and blue sky I felt obligated to get Lord Vader out today, kinda felt odd kitting up as it has been so long. Didn’t go far, just up to Box Hill and back for a cup of hot choc and a slice of cake but was really nice to get back out there. It wasn’t as warm as I’d thought it would be so I was a lil nippy in my summer gloves and just a t-shirt under my leather jacket. The roads around here are shocking and really put me off driving spiritedly but Lord Vader lapped it up and was more than happy to be thrown around some twisties, it did get of of shape a bit on one crumbled road changing lanes but was nothing scary.
I do hope the biking mojo comes back to me properly once the tarmac warms up a bit, I still love riding but it is becoming more of an effort to find an excuse to go by bike rather than car. May try riding to work for a bit to see if that helps re-light the fire that once burned.
March 14, 2014 at 8:53 pm #67621RadarModeratorI went through a period like this a few years back, but I just hung in there for a bit. Just think about all the fun you had on all your bikes over the years…the brutish Triumph, the track missile GSXR, the entire KTM range mudplugging, hacking around Europe on the Guzzi and all the mates you made through it. The places you have been, the sights sounds and smells of the world around you, the buzz from a fast road done well.
It will come back!

Don’t worry we won’t let you!
