Do you lot come from a family steeped in motorcycle history or like me, are you the only biker in the family, the blacksheep as it were.
My Brother in law has a Yamaha Thunderace, but I think you can tell who influenced him!

Don`t ride faster than your guardian angel can fly!
January 26, 2005 at 9:19 am #22640imperialdataKeymasterNo bikes in my family. My old man was scared shitless on the back of one once and it put him off for life. He didn’t put up any fight when I announced the acquisition of a bent framed Honda SS50. I sometimes wish he had (ie “Sell that heap of crap and buy a FS1E now!”).
January 27, 2005 at 6:07 pm #22641barmy_carmyParticipantMe, I had my first ride on my dads Matcheless, at the age of 4yrs. And loved it then as I still do now. I also discovered my Grandad used to ride motorcyles. So does my Aunt and uncle. They are currently travelling around New Zealand at the moment on a motorbike. So you could say its in the blood! But I only ride pillion, my husband wont let me be the pilot. We have a 1997 FZX 750. But every opportunity that we get we ride our bike.
No1 ride, our FZX750

LOVE IS GIVING SOMEONE THE ABILITY TO DESTROY YOU, THEN TRUSTING THEM NOT TO.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, Vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming…….WOO HOO, what a ride!
September 25, 2005 at 9:46 pm #22643RadarModeratorAnybody else from a deep biking heritage?
I make light look slow
September 25, 2005 at 9:55 pm #22644RagdollParticipantNot me…my parents think bikers are the scourge of the earth! Ex -hubby did his DAS after we’d split up…typical. I’m the black sheep anyway…wouldn’t want to let them down now, would I? lol

September 26, 2005 at 9:20 pm #22651GSF K1ParticipantMy dad used to be in the St Albans motorcross club when he was in his late teens, he has photos of going cross country on side cars, he was the mad nutter hanging off the sidecar with just a bar to grip onto and a plastic bone-dome! I grew up with him and his bikes, I have an embarrasing photo of me on the back of his old Honda CD175, I must have been about 8 years old. then he got a 250 wet dream and followed with a XBR500.
Now he’s gone back to his BSA’s.Go out with a BANG… Light a fart!
