Are they serious!!!?!????!!!
A plan to end the superbike has been hatched by official advisors to the European Commission, which could see a ban to outlaw any bike which has more than one cylinder and a capacity greater than 650cc.
Someone is taking it seriously!
BMF against Euro ban
The BMF has critiscised the plans to ban superbikes contained in the EU ‘Reduction of Energy Use in transport’ paper, revealed in MCN, June 7, 2006.
The report “demonstrates an ignorance of motorcycling technicalites and a bias against motorcycles as a form of transport,” says the BMF’s Trevor Magner. Sweeping statements are made about motorcycle emissions and fuel efficienct that fail to take ito account current motorcycle design, compliance with Euro 3 emission limits, and the fact bikes make better progress in congested conditions.
The BMF has now written to DEFRA for a meeting to discuss the proper role of motorcycles.

This is exactly why joining Europe was a bad idea…
Whatever the English hating population of the EU decides we HAVE to go along with it… Grrr.
f**k them, I’ll ride whatever motorcycle I want to!Some jumped up European beaurocrat isn’t going to tell me what the sky is red and down is up!
Surely this legislation won’t get passed will it? It’s not fair… that report is misinformed and very inaccurate, as any motorcyclist will already know.
