Craig Jones is in ‘the best shape of his life’ as 2006 track action looms fast for the new FPR star.
The 20-year-old has been undergoing an intensive fitness programme with his personal trainer Darren Roberts, whose services have been made available to Craig by his sponsor, Red Bull.
And, having now fully recovered from a neck injury sustained at Valencia, he is raring to go at the team’s test in Phillip Island later this month.
He said: “I am the fittest I have ever been. Darren has been focusing on strength, cardio work, balance and concentration exercises. It’s state of the art stuff that a lot of the top sports stars in the world are using and it’s all designed to give you a bit of an edge on everyone else. It’s the kind of thing that the likes of Schumacher will do before going out to qualify. It will come into play once I am in a routine and have reached a consistent performance level.
“I have been using my local Living Well gym in Peterborough and they have been very good in letting Darren in with me, as some gyms are funny about outside trainers coming in. He updates my programme every week to suit my needs, as the goals of a motorbike racer are completey different to those of a football or rugby player.”
LOVE IS GIVING SOMEONE THE ABILITY TO DESTROY YOU, THEN TRUSTING THEM NOT TO.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, VODKA in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming…….WOO HOO, WHAT A RIDE!!
