I going again this year – anyone else[?]
Mrs Kat is coming with me this year so instead of just taking all I need in my pockets as last year, this time I’ve got a tent, sleeping bags, and a load of other assorted stuff.

Had a great time arrived Friday morning and pitched the tent in a virtually empty camp site. Then went for a quick wander around and when we came back the place was packed! Some great bikes in the custom show (even a RD Radar!) and the usual trade stands, 2 live music stages and a dance tent. The highlight for me was the Run What You Brung where the drag strip is opened up to the public to give everyone a chance to take their bikes down the quarter mile (over 1100 RWB runs where completed on Friday alone). Everything from full on drag bikes, 500bhp Busa (road legal!), Criusers, Streetfighters, Rat bikes, Trikes and even a MiniMoto with a DT125LC engine with nitros (top speed over 90mph!!!) took to the 1/4 mile.

Didn’t take my bike down the strip – maybe next year.

August 22, 2005 at 6:10 pm #29258barmy_carmyParticipantWould love to take our bike down the strip, On the FZX site they got the Vmax and FZX750 to race down the strip, they were almost head to head not a lot in it. With our bike we can do 0 -100mph in 2nd gear in a few seconds, and that is with me on the back! and cheers mate for having a drink or 2 for me Lol!
