So for a while I have been thinking about getting a new bike, and just before going on holiday in October I was offered one that did appeal and I had been wishing I could have one but at the prices they go for they were a little out of my reach. But as this one had a little cosmetic damage it fell into the price range I could afford.
Sorry to say but it’s another BMW, but this time it’s the new liquid cooled GS Adventure. It’s pretty much got every option on it too! 2014 bike with only 2000 miles on the clock.
The bike just had some cosmetic damage which is now all fixed
Just waiting on the weather now so I can actually ride it.December 21, 2015 at 12:41 pm #68895HellsbellsParticipantGreat looking bike Matt, I love them, bit too big for me though.
Enjoy when the weather picks up.

Nice looking behemoth!! You must be really raring to take it out….
I snatched a ride yesterday when a bit of blue sky appeared but as soon as I hit Wales the heavens opened again….
Only saw 2 other bikers in 90 minutes out: I was the only two-wheeler at Tintern Abbey and the Seven Bends – usually crawling with GSs.
Thank Dog for my waterproof ARMR textiles…..December 21, 2015 at 11:20 pm #68898katanaParticipantLooks a goodun mate.

Must say the new liquid cooled model really is a big step on from the 2004 model, guess 10 years development really does work!
Probably only covered about 30 miles as it started to spit so headed back home. But first impressions are great! Engine wise it’s only 15 or so horses more than my 2004 model but feels much more, the suspension and handling were superb feeling really stable and so easy to turn in and hold the line you choose. Wind protection is amazing, when doing motorway(ish) speeds hardly get any wind blast at all!
Will add some more thoughts as the miles clock up but as a first ride I really did choose the right bikeDecember 24, 2015 at 10:45 am #68902imperialdataKeymasterThat looks a lovely machine Matt. Now we know who caused the floods across the country
Get out and do some mud plugging!
