First time for me at the Bristol Italian AutoMotive Festival. It’s a really nice chilled event where a few streets in the centre of Bristol are used to display a whole load of Italian cars and bikes.
I rode over to Gordano services on the M5 for the mass ride in at 9:30,you were supposed to ride in and park up in groups by manufacturer, but it got a bit chaotic as we hit the traffic on the way in. I did manage to park with a few other MVs. It waas a chily start, but as we reached Bristol the sun was out and it turned into a vary pleasant day.
Ducati were by far the most prevalent bike brand present, followed by a reasonable number of Moto Guzzis, then about a dozen each of MV, Benelli, Laverda, Aprilia and just a couple of Moto Morini and Moto Parilla, and a bunch of scooters.
Of the cars it’s the older ones that interest me more, some really nice old Alfas and Lancias.
Was pleasantly surprised by Bristol as a city too, I’ve not properly explored before, some nice buildings and the St Nicholas market was interesting – lot’s of record shops, variety of places to eat, and a stall selling just loads of chilli sauces.
There was a concours competion, and then at 3pm a mass starting of engines.
My personal favourites of the day were the Ducati Elite 200 and the Alfa Giulietta Spider

My neighbours lad did a music and arts degree in the city and reckons the live music scene there is vibrant
I am a big fan of Alfa spiders too, but I will stick with my old and leaky Lotus for now.
I did get out on my MV today too, but it was chilly and showery out which restricted my fun a bit!
Cheers for taking time out to post up the review and the pictures!
