Two bikes I loved.

It was bought just to rip the engine out of for a kit car(which has since gone by-the-by) but I was able to have her for a while before the offending event occured.
First impressions when I got on her were favourable to say the least.I had always viewed the Busa as a bit of a lumbering baest but I was immediatley suprised by how managable the weight felt and how comfortable I felt even at a stand still.I must say at this point I,m a bit short in the leg department and have found other bikes a little tall for me at times.
So I set off, gingerly at first especially as I was in one of the local villages but made my way to a quiet,B road with sweeping curves on it to see what she handled like.
Well to say I was shocked was an understatement!Every bend felt so easy,I even started trying to get my knee down(failing miserably)but I really felt like part of the bike. The riding position, being a sports/tourer is very good and you do feel like you could ride for miles without feeling any large degree of discomfort.
Once into Sheffield again I had no probs in the traffic other than boredom.
It was, however,on the way home on the A57 that I hada real taste of the bikes potential.
Waiting at a set of lights I had an Astra van pull level with metrying to make me give him room.We had been introduced as he had tail-gated me all the way out of Sheffield and I was starting to get well pissed with him.
As the lights turned to green he spun past me and the red mist descended.First, second, third, fourth…………I looked down at the speedo and was well into 3 figures and a half. The van driver was a dot behind me and I was into the next village.
I shifted down, sqeezed the brakes and I was doing 30!As quick as that………….them 6 pots are awesome.
All to soon I was home and the Busa was off to be dismantled.A crying shame…….but at least I got her front-end for my fighter. The artist formerly known as zx10
