This is taken from a circular issued by Manchester NHS Trust to their ambulance drivers, June 2005. My sister sent it to me as a word document issued on their letter headed paper:

Warning – We have received a warning from the London Ambulance Service of activities in their area. Whilst the below behaviour is not common place in our area I have spoken with Greater Manchester Police and their risk assessment of the action is to circulate it as a potential’
The London Ambulance service have units closely associated with the Police based in South London who are basically Fighting Gang Crimes. The ‘street gangs’ in London (particularly South London at present, but it is sure to spread) have initiation tasks which new gang members have to carry out to be admitted to the ‘gang’. The latest craze is to drive around, deliberately with no lights on their cars. The first person who ‘flashes’ them, points at them or sounds their horn at them, has to be followed by that new gang member in their car, who then has to fire a shot into that vehicle with no regard as to who is inside.
Our official instruction is that if we see a vehicle with no lights on, we are NOT to ‘flash’ it etc. and the advice to friends and family is that you should ignore any vehicles you see without lights. I would ask that you pass this info on to all your family, friends and colleagues and who knows, it may save a life.

What the hell is this country coming to,there has to be more police patroling of anight as there is going to be an uprising in vigilantes before long,I can see it coming.The govenment has to give out stiffer sentences to those who dont give human life a second thought.

Its the stupid government letting everybody in. I believe we shold support genuine asylum seekers, but the aliens who get in, by-passing all the other countries, does my head in.
Most of the new mafia is Albanian in London, youv’e got Triads,Yardies and now Islamic terrorists all over the country; Religion has got alot to answer for,even Ireland closer to home has religious differences.
Did you notice after the London bombings more than 50% of people interviewed are not English? BTW my family ancestry is from French Canadian immigrant on my dads side and my great grandfather on my mums side was Italian.Crime and deterrents are a joke. You can’t smack your kids, they cannot be punished in school for mis-behaving and the police are too busy raising money with speed cameras and persecuting soft target drivers and bikers than putting all their weight into ‘REAL’ law breakers. Teenagers grow up with no respect (I’m sure all Forum member kids are good upstanding individuals brought up the right way) and we have to put up with this rubbish; just look at the crap Gixerchic is having to go through in the ‘security’ topic.
So that’s got that off my chest, so don’t flash cars without their lights on at night.

I agree with you Scouser, It’s because there is no discipline anymore, kids are used to doing what they like without repercussions from there actions. Used to be a clip round the ear, or a bloody good spanking if I was naughty. And like you say, there doesnt seem to be any respect anymore. You know when things drastically changed, was when Maggie came to power, she changed the very fabric of society.
