Speed camera cut off its pole
May 10 2005Thousands of pounds worth of damage has been caused to a speed camera after it was attacked with an angle grinder or chainsaw.
Police have launched an investigation after someone cut the camera and laser device off its metal pole at Mynydd Isa near Mold. Officers have not ruled out the involvement of MAD – Motorists Against Detection. If true, it would be the group’s first attack in Wales. The anonymous group of irate motorists has been behind a spate of attacks on Gatso speed cameras.
