    Well I’ve gone and bought myself an R1200GS BMW, its pretty tidy, only rode it once so far but hopefully will go out and get a few miles on it the weekend.

    It’s an 04 plate so a fairly early one but it seems to have been looked after very well and has full BMW service history

    So are you and Thumper going to get matching Euan and Charlie Rompa suits now?

    They used 04 GS’s on Long Way Round

    I saw them and spoke with Charlie Boorman at the 2005 FoS at Goodwood. Seems a decent chap!

    You look very swift and assured on the GS Ses, has to be said that it suits you well

    Well I’ve been and bought a few odds and sods for the GS, namely a bar to mount the sat nav(yet to be wired) a Givi rack so I can fir a top box(sorry Radar, ‘an integrated luggage system’) and most importantly a full BOS exhaust system, this also gets rid of the cat and apparantly gives around 15bhp :)

    I don’t think you’d be able to hear a Spitfire going past at full chat over your Blade  :o
