A guy who lives in my road, with a Porsche 996 (non-turbo), a fine car, couldn’t believe that a bike with 600cc could see him off.
Until his son did exactly that at the weekend!

We often take the high performance of bikes for granted. That Honda CBR600R (2004)just walked off into the distance and the Porsche played second fiddle.

Too right,I often find that when am sittin at lights you get rich gits in their high performance cars reving their engines to get your attention so I leave them at the lights then let them catch up and over take. Then I get right behind them, try to look shocked, then just blitz past them and leave them for dead…laughing.

    Take it easy out there

When you consider that the litre muscle bikes of the early 90’s and late 1980’s can now be picked up for as little as £1,000 and you get 160+ mph and sub 11sec quarters, cars seem poor performance value.

A Hayabusa for about £9000, or about the same price as a Ford Fiesta!!

I like cars too, but no way could I afford a car that offers the same kind of performance my YZF600 does.

I had to laugh last weekend.. at the lights and some boy racer pulls up in his blacked out escort with rear fins, lowered suspension and alloys with “boom boom boom” comming from the inside…. Green lights and bye bye bye!!! And thats with a Bandit!!!!

Go out with a BANG… Light a fart!

It is surprising how many boy racers do try to keep up with you, all of 3 seconds!Wah Hey!

I have yet to find a car to trouble the ’05 Suzy 1000 even remotely.

I recently did my best to find something to match up, when I met up with 2 guys, one with a Noble M400 and the other with a Caterham R500.
Impressed with the cars? Yup. Especially the Caterham.
Did the bike win? Yup. Left the cars comfortably.

Take a look in the bike engined car section, a guy called TimD did some interesting posts in there a while ago about a twin ZX9R engined Westie.

I think its even more fun for a woman riding a bike…… I used to get fed up with blokes pulling up next to me at the lights shouting “give it a bit of welly girl” or “Hey babe how d`ya fancy havin me on the back of that”. I`d glance at them all coy and then once the lights changed leave em standing lol

Don`t ride faster than your guardian angel can fly!
