Hi Guys.
Just having a look around the site and it’s great, very friendly with loads of replies to posts.
I’m a born again biker after a few years off , just got myself a lovely naked Bandit 600 in mint condition.I’m lucky because my wife loves to go with me and it was her who persuaded me to get another bike.
I’m thinking of adding a few extras and would live some tips on things like undertrays , mini indicators and what the rules are for smaller reg plates .Do you have much trouble with the law and what are the minimum sizes and penalties for this sort of thing.
Many Thanks. [^]

March 17, 2005 at 4:44 pm #23524barmy_carmyParticipantHi nutty, Daves the pilot of our FZX 750, I’m the ballast as he puts it.When we got back into biking after 8 yr gap, we got 1100 virago, but got fed up after 12yrs wanted a change to an FZX (baby Vmax) lot more fun and a lot more oomph.Welcome to the forum, it is a friendly place this site. got any pics of your bike? would love to see it. As far as the number plate issue its got to be standard size, I know when we had the Virago had small custom plate on it, and was pulled up on it by the police, so unless you want to be pulled over, i suggest you stick to standard size…whatever that is. Enjoy this site nutty and the Mrs.

March 17, 2005 at 4:47 pm #23525DiggerParticipantHi nutty welcome,be carefull with number plates, try reducing the size of the plate but not the numbers.Small indicators can be quieried by the law but depends on what side of the bed they got out of,other than that the only other problem with the law is that they breath.
Take it easy out there

re indicators – as long as they flash at the correct rate, the size doesnt matter. The filth will try and hassle you about it, but as far as the mot and therefore legality is concerned all they must do is:
(a) be visible from the front and rear of the bike
(b) be amber in colour
(C) flash between 60 and 120 times per min
(d) have a tell tale fitted visible to the riderI slept with faith and found a corpse in my arms on awakening; I drank and danced all night with doubt and found her a virgin in the morning.
