Max Biaggi will make his return to action at Sepang on Sunday still suffering from the effects of a broken ankle, sustained in a supermoto accident last November. The broken bones have now healed and Biaggi has confirmed that he will take part in the test, with a special boot designed by Dainese in collaboration with the Clinica Mobile.
The boot features special protection over Biaggi’s astralagus, currently his weakest point, and limits movement of the ankle. A second prototype has also been developed with a higher degree of flexibility for when Biaggi feels ready to push his foot harder and ride more on the limits of the bike.
D-Tec (Dainese Technology Center) technicians will be following Biaggi’s progress throughout the course of the season and plan to make constant updates to the boot until the injury is completely healed.
