MotoGP News –
The Yamaha Factory Team will organize a special pre-season event on the occasion of the FIS Alpine Ski World Championship in Bormio, Italy, on the 2nd of February.
The event will include a press conference with MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi and his new team-mate, Colin Edwards. The team’s 2005 Yamaha YZR-M1 will also be on display.
This event will take place just two weeks after the team resumed its winter testing schedule in Sepang, Malaysia. As 2005 is Yamaha’s 50th anniversary year, MotoGP enthusiasts expect that this event will provide the occasion to discover a possible commemorative livery of the Championship winning YZR-M1.
It will also be Colin Edwards first official appearance as a Yamaha rider. The former World Superbike Champion rejoins the Japanese factory, with which he started his professionnal career in ’86.
