I have a really big problem at the moment. I have suddenly got an icon on the desktop and it’s a shortcut to a program that dials up the internet. It’s got TeenSex written on it and I don’t know where it came from. I am the only user of the PC and I didn’t load this on.
I can’t see how to get rid of it.Hope someone can help or point me somewhere that can.

December 7, 2003 at 4:04 pm #17042imperialdataKeymasterHave you tried Spybot or Adaware programs to see if they detect and can delete it? Be a bit careful with this one Tosh because it dials international numbers, not internet numbers (ie local call rate or freephone).
Hit ctrl, alt and delete at the same time and see if the program pdialer.exe is running. Click once on it and select end process and see if that kills it temporarily.
Sorry to say that this is usually installed from Porn or Warez sites and is normally done by popping up a box with any text on it which you OK to close.
To prevent things like this happening again, set your internet security level to medium or greater in tools, internet options, security menu. Any probs, let me know what browser and operating system you have (for example IE6.0.2600 and Windows XP Pro etc).

Nice one, how about a PC help section? Could do with some, I’ve got lots of questions.

Any ideas how to make a program that starts other programs with one mouse click. I want to start internet explorer, notepad and calculator at the same time. I’ve got windows xp and microsoft internet explorer. Cheers

Double click to open
Copy these lines into it (or cut and paste)
Start iexplore.exe https://www.bikemeet.net
Start calc.exe
Start notepad.exeSave the file and exit
Rename the file to go.bat
Double click the go.bat icon to run.
