Winter seems to have gone on forever so it felt great to finally get to a bike night. I took in the rather excellent meet at the Old Rose and Crown on the outskirts of Stourport on Severn in Worcestershire. It was really special to ride up there with my younger daughter. I was on my 550 Kawasaki fighter while she was riding her recently bought 125 Lexmoto. Only her second proper outing after 5 years on a twist and go moped. She seems to be loving it. There was a strong turnout for the first meet of the year at this venue. I think it is every Friday evening now for the rest of the summer. Some great bikes on view and it was good to meet up with some folks we chatted to on the charity ride out based from here last Sunday. The pub laid on suitably chilled drinks and a suitably tasty bar-be-cue…all good stuff
Anyway a few pictures:
550 and 125 ready for the off
My daughter enjoyed her 2nd proper outing on her Lexmoto
My 550 had some rather glamorous company…
I had my first bike accident on one of these…the legend that is the CB250N Superdream
Matt who I met on the charity ride (FZ1) was here on a R1200RS demo/loan bike. A BMW I quite like!
Strong turnout, comfortably in excess of 50 bikes and trikes came and went in the course of the evening
Some of the bikes that caught my eyeAll in all a great meeting, so I will be back!
