Lord Vader (my V7) is a bloody awesome bike, I have loved every mile, every wobble and every admiring glance from all the people who have appreciated its looks and character, but it is time to move on. As soon as I have scrubbed off the trackday residue from the tyres and worked out what it is worth, I’ll be sadly putting it up for sale.
In its place will be a rather lovely (and quite rare) Ducati Sport Classic 1000 with some lovely mods:
I hope to pick it up soon but need to sort the loan paperwork first, hoping to collect on Friday but think I may have to wait a lil longer as there may be delays in transferring money from bank to my account and then to the seller.
Hope I can get it Friday tho….. want to lovingly look at it!

Have had this just over a week now so thought I should post some words
The bike is stunning in the flesh but does have a few things that need sorting, the termi cans have been recently painted with crap satin paint and by the looks of it no primer or etch coat to get it to stay in place. The suspension is too hard, need to get it set up for my weight as it has too much pre-load and has a little chatter from the front under hard braking. The rear seems a bit hard too.
Am gonna send the cans off to a mate in Wales to get a proper finish on them in a ceramic 2 part paint to get them mint. I’ll have a fiddle when I can collar a couple of mates to help with the suspension set up, think I’ll be able to dial in a better setting but ultimately I’ll get both front and rear re-sprung and set up properly.
Even with the suspension as is it rides lovely and has so much more umph than the V7. The riding position is proper caferacer; arse up elbows down and when riding it like that it feels very natural and comfy, around town is a chore but only because I am used to the Guzzi’s nice upright riding position.
It truly sounds glorious with the Termis and no baffles and seems to fuel perfectly with no pops or bangs on the down change like the Streetfighter S had.
I am feeling very at home on it already, the sidestand however is a bitch to put down while on the bike and getting off is not a graceful affair as it often gets knocked into gear while trying to lower the stand.
Overall so far it is a very happy purchase and puts the same grin on my face as the Guzzi used to, just for different reasons
