I am lucky to have two decent bikes, and I was originally intending to go on the Ducati, but after a highly enjoyable near 200 miles on the Thundercat over the weekend I am beginning to wonder that should get the nod for the trip

I have trial fitted the tail pack to the Ducati today and it can be secured reasonably well with a few bungee chords. However I find getting on and off the bike really difficult. Combine that with the range issue and I am starting to favour using the Thundercat more and more

It’s a tough choice, there is a good argument for either bike

Being checking out a Ventura sports rack for the Ducati. Sent an email asking for a price. Small L shaped rack, could be good to strap a bag too

    Fitted to these brackets

£169 according to the website for both

    and this image looks interesting:

What about the comfort issue, should you not factor that in too, or are they both on par? As you know we both did a Sotland trip over Easter, at times I was wishing I was on the 1000 because it literally is a longer legged bike (600 used because of the camping gear)

Hi TT, good to see you on here again. The Duke is actually pretty comfortable. I rode it back from Norfolk when I bought it, 185 miles, no problem

You also need to factor in reliability, is the duke as reliable as the T Cat?
