Thumper joined me for the test ride of the MT-07 and while he enjoyed it, the bike wasn’t for him. The BMW R1150 he rode over is good bike but he has been looking to move it on for a while. So I suggested he pop into the Harley dealers in Brum on his way home, just take a look…the idea of a HD has been niggling away at him since he rode a demo 18 months ago.
Well he took me at my word, popped in and promptly ordered this…
1585cc of prime US of A beef…Happy cruising Thumper and you still have the TDR for blowing the cob webs away and the GS1200 for leading armoured columns!
Well he picked it up today
One happy chap…I joined him as he picked the 1580(!) up. Popped in on Toggs and Gix as the first run, he was trailing sparks on one bend! He is one very happy biker and I hope he has many great years on the beast!
He even got a HD rucksack with the bike!

Apparently that’s to carry the bits that vibrate loose on the bike.
