Went to this last year. Had a great day out..A Lancaster on full revs is an awesome sight and sound.

Think we will go to this years one aswell.

I know of this event and wish that I could go this year but already committed elsewhere. No, there is no sound quite like a Merlin at full chat: Water cooled V12, wailing supercharger, 27 litres!! My boss has just returned from the states where he had enjoyed an ‘experience’ flight in a P51-D…lucky b@st@rd!!
The pictures and video clips were amazing. Another P-51 flew in formation with him for a while too.
The P-51 is normally a single seater but a few have been modified to seat two; the passenger sitting in tandem with the pilot seating where radio gear and fuel tank once resided.

I would love to do that, but need a bit of a pay rise!
