In two minds about this one, I do have a days holiday left to use up, but as Ses said it wasn’t amazing last year. I did get a new crash helmet and gloves, but I don’t really need all that much this year. Well maybe a stand and cover for the Ducati…
I went up on Wednesday.
Although the show was smaller then the last time I went up a few years ago, all the major manufactures were there. Plus a few “new” ones e.g. Indian.
Highlights for me were sitting next to Chris Walker on the bus from the car park and finding both a Hardley Movinson and CX500 that I like.

the Mutt was lovely. I enjoyed the show this year, it had a far more positive vibe to it than last year.

I really liked that CX based special, hard to believe it based on the old plastic maggot!
Not sure about the Mutt, almost seems disrespectful to old Brit bikes!

WK are coming on in leaps and bounds. I first saw them a few of years ago at the show and the fit and finish improves everytime I see them.

I only ever rode CX500s that were knackered, but they had 50bhp from new so with a little work, a free flowing exhaust and a bit of weight reduction the special should have more than enough poke to have fun with
How long before the Chinese take on the super sport Japanese and European bikes, or do an adventure type bike?
