Hi,
I have a 1972 Honda CB 175 that I want to make learner legal without causing permanent damege/change. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

This is an option, but ideally would like to stay on the right side of the law!
Considering just learning on something else and passing my test asap.

Your best bet to make it learner learner legal would be to fit another engine from something like a late 1970’s CB125T or CD125U which were both twins.
Both were rare bikes new and will be hard to find parts for now in decent shape.
I would say your best bet is to buy a 125, use it gain experience once you have passed your CBT.
I have recently bought a EN125 Suzuki for local running about. Great little bike. You can use the 125 for a year or two and, provided you don’t thrash it into the ground and keep on top of basic maintenance like oild and filter changes, it should sell for virtually what you paid for it.
This is a boring way to do it, but very cost effective in the long run!

I went and picked the bike up on Sunday, and reality has hit that it’d probably be a bit silly to tinker with it at risk of ruining it.. it’s great!
So my plan at the moment is to borrow a friend’s 125 while i get used to riding a bike on the road (I already drive a car, so i know and understand the roads pretty well) and take my test asap.
Thanks for your help guys!

No worries, how long have you got the 125 for? What model is it?
How about a few pics of the 125 and the 175??
