Having not ridden any of my bikes since last November it just felt great to get back out there on the road last Sunday (27th), with Ses keeping me company on a brief but highly enjoyable ride up to one of regular haunts..the cafe at Quattford, just outside Bridgenorth. Quite a few bikes out and about as the sun made its first appearance of the year after a couple of weeks of snow and ice in these parts.
I dusted off the FZ for the trip on the basis it was nearest the front of my garage and had some petrol in it. Ses selected his Blade over the CBF as is his only legal bike at the min.
Only 23 miles as the roads were still a bit slushy here and there, some snow was still visible in the fields where it had been piled up, but it was brilliant just to be out there! Had a cuppa and then headed home.
Here is to a great biking year in 2013…
Did get the RD out in the end. I had forgotten just how much fun it is to ride. Wound up chasing a 95 ZX6R…will I ever learn??
