Prince William forced to stop riding 190mph superbike after it’s gnawed by mice

PUBLISHED: 09:31, 31 March 2012 | UPDATED: 12:18, 2 April 2012It’s not so much there is a mouse in the house, but in the garage.
Prince William has been forced off his motorbike because it has been attacked by the rodents.
The nibbling mice have munched their way through the cables of his beloved Ducati, taking it off the road. The prince, who famously rode around London on his motorbike the night before his wedding, is now facing a £6,000 repair bill, according to a motorcycle website
It said the mice had nibbled through the wiring loom on his black 1198sp bike, which cost £20,000.
A royal source told the Daily Star the bike was a real adrenaline rush for the prince – doing 0 to 60mph in less than 2.5 seconds. The top speed is estimated at 190mph.The source told the paper: ‘While it’s in the garage, he has had to rely on four wheels not two, Easter maybe around the corner but he’s not a happy bunny.’
William, 29, uses the bike at his homes in North Wales and London.
But, although his office declined to comment yesterday, it is understood the mice problem is at the farmhouse he shares with Kate near his RAF search and rescue base on the Isle of Anglesey.
Clad in black leathers and helmet, William has often been seen arriving for events on two wheels.
The next in line to the throne shares a passion for motorbikes with his brother Prince Harry, who is said to own an £11,000 Ducati 848 with a top speed of 166mph.
The royal brothers, both in the military, are said to ride their bikes at weekends when not on duty or training but their father worries for their safety.
Prince Charles has previously expressed concern about the safety of the future king riding the bike with Kate as his pillion passenger.
In December 2010, Prince Charles confessed his concerns, saying: ‘I always worry about them. It’s about other cars not being able to see you. I’m always telling my sons that.’lol
