March 1, 2012 at 11:03 pm #63211RadarModeratorI was talking to a expert in such matters the other day and he had serious doubts about the viability of electric bikes.
March 1, 2012 at 11:36 pm #63212HippoDronesParticipantI think if people expect them to be comparable with our current road bikes then yes, they are no way going to be as good but if we look at motorcycles over the last 100yrs then it is only imo the last 20 where they have become such fantastic performing beasts. Electric bikes have the advantage of chassis/suspension/brakes that are top notch already so it is just the powerplant, endurance and charge times that need working on []

As long as they can be charged off your mains at home over night and have a fast charge option for charging stations when you are on a longer run
March 1, 2012 at 11:59 pm #63215RadarModeratorWe have some electric cars kicking around at work, but I have not blagged a go yet. I have been a passenger in a Nissan Leaf…that was almost errie it was so quiet. Expensive too.
March 2, 2012 at 12:11 am #63216HippoDronesParticipantthe cost def needs to come down some for them to be viable to the masses
