Yeehah! We knew we’d grind you into submission. Looking forward to seeing (and hearing) it.

Got the RD now, but i am leaving it with Thumper as he has some room in his garage. I have to do some shuffling about in mine to make room for it.

In a strange twist it turns out I knew the bloke selling the bike, I used to work at the same place 2001-3…small old world.

Anyway the bike itself rides quite well, and the FZR400 calipers fitted to the front are excellent. The connection to the headlight is loose and needs sorting, and few bits and bobs need to be tidied up, but basically it seems straight and honest. Looking forward to some two stroke fun this summer. I have taken a few pics and will post them later

    Well here is a pic:

The photo flatters the bike a bit, but she is ok for 26! Unlike me…I look rough for 26

Nice and yes, you look like you had a harder 26 years than the bike.

Time for a little update on the RD.Due to our poor summer I have not used quite as much as I thought I would. However everyone of the 400 or so miles I have managed have been great fun. Rides with Thumper on his TDR have been the highlight and it was also the bike that I used for my first ride out with my younger daoughter on her beloved Moped.

The RD has been just as I remembered them back in the day, though my somewhat increased girth has had the effect of blunting the performance somewhat!

The bike is fun if you keep her on the pipe and wring its’ neck and the handling and brakes are actually somewhat better than I was expecting.

No extra bits have fell off and the temp gauge is working now it has been connected (Doh)

So great fun, I just wish the weather had been better this year!

Hung-over dude leans on pride-and-joy two stroke one rainy British summmer afternoon…

…sometimes not so much changes in 26 years!

Keep that in your collection… spend your readies on a bigger garage…  : )
