Check MOT advisories on vehicles

Came across this, thought I’d share. It’s really useful if you are going to buy a secondhand car or motorcycle.

Providing you have access to the V5 or an MOT certificate you can check the MOT history of a the vehicle back to 2005 using the link at the bottom of my post.

You can do a status check which gives you this info:

• the expiry date of the test
• mileage on the vehicle at the time of the test
• the date of the last test

Plus you can compare the information against the paper certificate to make sure it’s genuine.

The MOT history check will give you the following information:

• full test details
• mileage at the time of each test
