Way too cold to ride, so Thumper and me checked out the rather excellent Coventry Transport Museum. The focus is on cars but there was a bike hall and some bikes dotted around generally. I was expecting more focus on Triumph seeing as the were based up the road in Meriden for so many years
Anyway a few pics…
Charlie and Ewan’s bikes from The Long Way Down…they couldn’t fit the support convoy in the hall…or the helicopter…
Charlie’s PD bike
Above all its a Rover…I wonder if the head gasket has gone?
Loving those bars…
Check out the leather drive belt
T160…lovely
A Triumph nears completion of its’ restoration in the workshop
This Omega is next in-line for the same treatment
Thrust2…633mph
Thrust SSC…the first ‘car’ to break the sound barrier…763mph!
Free to get in and well worth a visit if you are in the area
