Hello me darlins, tis me the barmy bimbo[:p] I see a few old faces[:D] Well dave’s got himself a Kwak ZL 1000, tis american import. Its the bees knees, but Dave is looking to lower it, as at mo its just too tall for him. But me unfortunately cannot ride anymore, due to pothole accident, I’ve got a small step in my coccyx and my lower front pelvis has caved in. They cannot fix me due to my arthritis, so unable to sit astride a bike[:(!] Pothole was so deep it almost bounced me off bike, with my legs flying behind I managed to grab hold of Dave’s shoulders, and pulled myself in, but landed on 2 bar metal grabrail. So it ended my biking days, all I have now is memories of my biking days all 35yrs + I just wasn’t ready to give up biking yet Grrrrrrrr Oh well spose I cant moan. Cant even work on bikes anymore…….ok rant ova. Will post some pics of bike when I can. Am hoping Hagon shocks have some for Dave’s bike, gotta get some measurements done first, if they haven’t got any dont know what to do, am on limited budget.

The legend returns!!!!! Welcome home BC and great to hear from you again. One of your old threads on here is still going strong with over 700 replies…

Sorry to hear about the pothole incident and the effect it has had on you and biking. I hit a huge pothole and couple of years agop on the Thundercat and it nearly had me off the bike, I complained to the council, but they were not interested. Wrecked a front tyre too.

At least Dave is still out there even if it is on a Kawasaki! Good luck with the Hagon shocks. I fitted one to my Yamaha FZ750 (same engine as your old Fazer) and it worked well. They migt be willing to make up a set for the ZL if they have something close in the range. Let us know how you get on.

I have treated myself to another Yamaha since you were away…

    Anyway welcome back BC!

Yep, bad news about accident BC, very sad to hear that. How about a trike or sidecar setup, could you go out with Dave on one of those?
