The Muppett group formed recently by the MD of Engel have been out to play once more, following on from the Stafford (https://www.bikemeet.net/forums/topic/stafford-classic-show-with-the-engel-muppets/) and Warwick meets, the chief Muppet decided to up the pace and a Donington track day (well evening…) fitted the bill perfectly.
In all 11 riders took to the track on a variety of bikes:
Suzuki GSXR 1000
Honda Fireblade (x3, common as C90s you know!)
Yamaha YZF-R1
Aprillia RSV-R
Yamaha MT-01 + Lavarda 750 formula
Yamaha R1
Kawasaki ZX10
Daytona 675
Yamaha FZS600 FazerOur supposedly sizzling summer has turned into the usual damp squib so it was a pleasent surprise that rain didn’t stop play too much: It only really rained for the middle of the three sessions, but one poor lad managed to crash his Yamaha MT-01 in the first session…
Great evening though…and here are few pictures of the Muppets in action…
The chief Muppett on his 675 with a fair bit of air between knee and tarmac…as so many of my school reports read…’must try harder’ lol!
GSXR mounted Muppettier doing his best BSB impressions with knee skimming tarmac nicely…Sorry I couldn’t join you, work and family committments make weekday track events difficult. Anyway I wouldn’t want to show everybody up obviously…[
