the easy way in spain is to go do the Ronda run, and let your mate throw his KTM 650 up the mountain,we were giving it a good lick mind, the ktm was holding us up so we past him ,and pulled in at the next cafe, waited 5 mins for reevesy ,no show so was mounting back up to look for him when a couple told us he had tried a bit of mountain climbing , we got back to him and some lads had pulled the ktm off the mountain and stood it up, 10 mins later the guardia arrived (remember them radar) they sorted ambulance, and tow truck did a quick docs check then had to shoot off to a car crash further up the ronda road, pretty serious he told me 2 was dead at scene, asked if i would sort tow truck and shot off, ambulance came 2 of them actually, reevesy was given the once over ,put in the truck and off to Ronda hosp, So Paddy, out for a weeks fun and me waited and waited for the grua it turned up and was a father and son team the old man made the lad run around like a loony, i asked how much and the old man was straight in there with an open hand, hadnt got me wallet out yet and he was scribbling on a receipt, how much i says 170€ the old man says . how much i repeated 170€ was what i heard again i asked if he bought the bl**dy thing, i can soon take it off again he says, one of the pics is of me reluctantly handing over said amount, so we went off to get some lunch. sword fish with chips and salad lovely.
then it was time to complete the ronda road and do the 366, to coin what a bl**dy excelent days riding, 2 old farts on a mission.July 1, 2008 at 7:28 pm #55784imperialdataKeymasterWow, close call that. Glad he’s OK
