I completed my CBT yesterday, first time on a bike, about 20 years late, but a brilliant day until…
We headed out on the ‘real’ road in the afternoon, as we came back to the training centre a car sped past myself ,the other trainee and one of the instructors almost cutting us up. The other group of bikes were about 1/2 mile behind. As we got off our bikes and chatted and waited a police car and ambulance rushed past. It turned out that the car that cut us off had rammed the other instructor off the road before passing us. It was an exemployee with some kind of vendetta who had been snooping around allday apparently. Anyway the instructor came back but was limping and shaken and the police and a detective interviewed us and headed off to visit the driver.
My introduction to motorcycling rather excicitng.

Not always a coppa around when you really need one though! At least it sounds like no permanent damage (maybe more to pride??)

Where about did you take your lessons??

Nice one mattzappa, a story to tell the grandchildren (or the geezers down the local). Hope the DAS goes well.

The centre was in Blyth, Northumberland, apparently the villan had been about all day taking pics from a distance, I never noticed, just too happy to be riding a bike, out on the open road was beautiful, wind, drizzle, motion. Totally hooked.
