1992 CBR 600 £1399 looks to be in good condition and is £800 cheaper than the GPZ.

Personally I love it, and the CBR will be restriced to 33bhp.
I have a budget of £1600 and dont want to spend it all…
The bike is going to see my 2 years probation out so I’m going to get my moneys worth.

    What do you folks think?

CBR is an excellent bike. Mate has had a 97 model for the last six years and loves it.

Didn’t realise you could restrict them to 33bhp,

Do you have to get a certificate or docs to confirm the restriction??

I’m not sure about the whole buisness of restrictions, but yes I think they give you a cirtificate or something.
It’s an old CBR so it’s not going to be a rocket like the new ones are, to be honest it looks more like a deuville. [:D]

Any bike can be restricted, just some run better restricted than others, the fitter will give you a cert, if you restrict it yourself, you will need a dyno printout but please note that some insurers will not accept dyno printout, so best to get qualified mech to fit restriction kit. HTH

Thanks Gix [:D] Yer a star!

The CBR is just a choice I have, I’m still looking for a ZXR400 though… my word I would love one of those bikes!! only has 60bhp to begin with so shouldn’t be too bad when knocked down to 33bhp.
Think I’ll be able to get one for under £1500 ?

Anyway next week it’s training time!!

    Here’s the time table…

Monday 24th – Day 1 : Refresh myself with the bike and what not (I’m still relatively sharp on signs and what have you)

Tuesday 25th – Rest day : Relax and reflect on the previous and next day

Wednesday – 26th : Down to business weather I like it or not! no doubt will be filled with shouting and sweating!

Thursday – 27th : Will no doubt be feeling confident for the test by this time (hopefully)

Friday – 28th : Judgement day… Testing at horse forth… times to come asap.

If I pass… doubt I will though… but if I do I will be down the bike shops and on Ebay looking for a big boy’s toy!

I still have to sell my GZ 125 so I’ll have to cart that f**ker around with me on Tuesday and hope Dyrons wants to buy it from me! Otherwise it’s the classifieds and wait for some t**t to come round kick the tyres umm and aaar at me then make me a stupid offer… grrr!
