owners warned after moped thefts
Moped owners in Bristol are being warned to secure their machines after a spate of thefts in the last week.
Nine mopeds have been reported stolen and attempts made to take another two. Most have been taken in the Speedwell area of Bristol.
A police spokeswoman said: “Most bikes have been taken in the late afternoon by boys in their early teens and are being taken from sheds and the road.”
Owners are urged to lock both their bikes and check their sheds are secure.
