    BMF’s GEMS – BIKING BLING!
lThe Garden of England Motorcycle Show, Hop Farm Country Park, Paddock Wood, Kent, Saturday/Sunday 10th-11th June 2006, 9.30am-5pm both days
The weekend of 10th-11th June sees the BMF bring a bit of biking bling to Kent with GEMS, The Garden of England Motorcycle Show, a shining example of how a bike show can become an annual favourite!

Now in its 11th year at the Hop Farm, Paddock Wood and regularly attracting around 20,000 show goers, GEMS might well follow the BMF Show in the calendar, but it is very much it’s own event in its own right.

The main arena has an action-packed programme throughout the weekend. The Xtreme Trials Display goes to extremes to amaze with individual skills of balance and machine control; The Tigers Display Team use bikes to do it together while Moto-Stunts International put themselves through loops and over ramps in their thrill to please display acrobatics.

There will be plenty of trade and club stalls and even football fans are catered for with a large screen TV in the ‘beer barn’ on the Saturday for the England V Paraguay world cup match.

To keep the kids happy, quad-bikes, kids go-carts, a climbing wall, bungee-trampolines and fair rides are on hand, plus the Hop Farm has an adventure playground with horses and many more animals to entertain them.

There are camping facilities available on the site from Friday 9th and the camping ticket price includes two days entry into the show, as well as live bands in the evening and hot showers to boot!

I have been going for the past 3 years. This year I didn’t enjoy it as much, the entertainment didn’t seem as good.

For those who went what did you think of it?
