Hudson “Hurricane” Kennaugh is yet to put pen to paper with a team for the up and coming 2006 race season. However, he is not without offers, “I’ve got a few options at the moment,” he said “All the deals are up in the air due to talking to sponsors and the teams finalising their plans.”
Although not signed yet Hudson is up beat about the new season “I’m looking forward to it, my ultimate goal is still World Superbikes, so no matter where I race this season it will be used as a stepping stone to the World Championship.”
The British Superbike Championship is one of the highest level domestic championships in the World and Hudson hasn’t ruled out coming to the British Isles. “The UK is very competitive at any level, Superbike, Supersport or Superstock. Although I’m not familiar with all of the circuits, I am a fast learner and I’d be there with the intention to win whatever championship I enter,” stated the determined South African.
There is a possibility that World Superbike will be returning to South Africa at the end of the season, “It is a very exciting prospect,” grinned Hudson “There are two circuits for them to choose from, Welkom or Kyalami.
Welkom will be tough on tyres as it is a very harsh track. Kyalami is more technical which will give the local riders an advantage, and I’ll do my best to be one of those local riders giving the regulars a run for their money!”

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, VODKA in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming…….WOO HOO, WHAT A RIDE!!
