Finally got around to fitting the 2Cts I bought a few months ago to the Thundercat….
Lets see how they compare to the Maxxis tyres I have been running for the last 5 years
Well I switched to Pilot Power last year – wanted extra life now that I’ve slowed a little – think you are going to find the payback is (of course) a distinct edgy feel that a harder tyre is bound to give.I’m definately having to ‘read’ the tarmac on bends more than I did with the Maxxis.
I’d be interested to know how they fare, the Maxxis were great tyres for the money weren’t they?
I really liked the feel of the Maxxis tyres, they were very confidence inspiring. My only issue was that I went through three rears in 9000 miles. Same front the whole time on the up side

It will be interesting to see how they compared. About 100 miles only so and obviously have not pushed things as yet
