Rare and collectable Trabant 594cc two-stroke twin-cylinder tourer.
I have spent much time and effort in bringing this car up to it’s present condition. I have not restored it, per se, rather just repaced the few bits which were needed and removed and cleaned and oiled, then refitted everything else.
Totally reliable, just 5 moving parts in the engine and the body cannot rot due to it’s construction in resin.
The paintwork will need touching up in places. Easy to do.New plugs,plug leads and battery. Very long mot and tax.
£1500 cash, or best motorcycle offered as a swap, anything considered.

Sounds fun. But my the management would go into orbit if I came home with something else. A bloke I worked with in the late 80’s bought a new Trabby direct from E Germany. I think it was the military spec convertible one. Didn’t the last few have VW Polo engines?
