Today has been, up until the last part, one of those rare almost perfect days. I decided to take the day off work to see my son’s class assembly (he was a star). Weather was fantastic so went for a quick ride and nothing caught fire or fell off. Decided to re-route the hoses from my oil cooler so me and Mrs Kat went over to BSR Aerotek in Chipping Campden in her convertible (bike was cooling down) to get a couple of connectors. A great drive though the Cotswold countryside followed by a lot of chat about bikes and a chance to see their Streetfigher Magazine featured Bandit (only the price could have been better – up there with Toggy’s screw). Back home and everything fitted and bike started up with no leaks first time!
Mrs Kat has new leathers so we decided to go for a short ride to help break them in. Rode up to the top of Fish Hill outside Broadway and stopped in picnic area. This is when I committed a fatal mistake; I parked the bike about 20 feet behind a white escort van. We were about 15 yards away when I heard the horrible sound of a bike hitting the deck – you guessed it my bike! White van man had come out of the toilets walked past my BRIGHT YELLOW bike then got in his van and reversed back into it. At least he didn’t bugger off and I got his details along with a witness who saw the whole thing. The damage was thankfully light only a broken signal generator cover and mangled bar end. So I’m off tomorrow to get replacement bits so the bike can look its best for the meet in Stratford on Sunday.

Anyway glad the damage wasn’t too bad!

White van man decided to just pull over into our lane one day last year, knocked Daves handle bars knocking him out the way, my foot got trapped between footpeg and white van,Cause he was still coming over into our lane. hence I ended up with a very black foot. the bloke did stop, there was no damage to the bike, just my foot. Dave said to white van man, why dont you use your F*****g mirrors. Amongst other things. But continued our journey to West Bay.
I’m not riding fast, I’m just flying low. and please DONATE to this website
