Oddly enough my brother in law Mike built a Lotus ambulance back in the late 1980’s for use by the fast response doctor at Snetterton race track a stones throw from the Norfolk base of the famous old sports car firm:

Sounds really interesting place to ride. Imperial Data, who runs this forum, rode to old Yugoslavia on his GPz900R in the late 1980’s before all the trouble kicked off there around 1990…coincidence??

Look forward to seeing those pictures looks like a great run. I did Scotland in 1987 on my GS550…stunning place to ride.

I return in 1990 when a group of us did John O’Groats to Lands End on a 50cc twist and go for charity, amazing…

Non stop on twist and go

Then 2012 a large group of us from the Thundercat forum did the Scottish border country…superb riding

I am going back with the same group in 2015 all being well

Nice collection Radar, thanks for taking the time to put them together. That bad back put me out of action for much of 2014 again but I hope to bounce back in 2015 with some decent rides, re-reading some of these makes me itch to get back out there again.

No worries it was compile this or watch the X factor!

I enjoyed trawling trough the archives and remembering some good times

Hope the back improves to a point where the mighty ZX9R can be used in anger a little more!

So you can remember what it is like…

The Thundercat has a new pair of tyres to go on, plus I will give it a basic service, new plugs, oil and filter. I am looking into getting the suspension rebuilt as riding a 14,000 mile example recently has shown how bouncy mine has become (25,000 miles)

The Ducati just needs a basic service

Both a road legal and ready to go at the moment, but I don’t see them getting much use until Spring tbh

The RD is undergoing a light rolling resto:

Meanwhile the 125 is just getting a bit of local running to keep my hand in.

Might sell that a replace it with a ZR550 Kwack if I kind find one locally. Although a pre-diversion XJ600 has also taken my eye at a local ish bike shop in Brum

Been a quiet year really, we should plan some proper weekend runs for next year

It has in terms of weekend runs for sure, be good to get out much more next year as you say. I don’t think I have ridden with you since the Pyrenees run in 2013!
