Yamaha´s official MotoGP team have used the catwalk of the Sepang Test to show off their new image for the coming season, a result of the Japanese team´s new sponsorship deal with Camel.Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards, along with the rest of the current Constructors Championship winning team, will be kitted out in yellow with Japan Tobacco International´s Camel logo one of the dominant features of their new look.
Yellow is something of a favourite colour for World Champion Valentino Rossi, who uses it as the focal point in the majority of his products and marketing, as well as in his attire-for example his helmet.
The agreement between Yamaha Racing and JTI, which makes Camel the main sponsor of the team, was sealed a few days before the Christmas holidays. The team´s official name will be Camel Yamaha, and their bright new colour will be a striking contrast to the plain black of some of the teams taking part in the Sepang Test, for example the official Honda team.
