    I’m looking for a new project as I’ve sold the Trans Am and want to give the Kat a break from being pulled apart this winter.

    I’m want to build another fighter so looking for a crashed damaged sports bike or an abandoned project.

    Here are my criteria:

    max £1000
    above 750cc
    newer then the Kat – so 1990s onwards

    I’ve always fancied a Twin so I’ve been looking at TL1000s (a little bit above my price range) and TRX850s. Saying that although I’m not a big H**da fan I quite like the look of the early Fireblades when they have been fightered. Also a Gixxer 7/11 would be nice.

    Bottom line is I’m flexible/picky so has anyone got anything suitable lurking in their shed?

    PM member Gordy. He has a 94 RF900 and a 95 Fireblade for sale. Both have been off the road for 3 or 4 years and are in need of recommissioning

    A friend of mine has a started GSX-R Slabby fighter, think its a 750 but not sure. Will ask her if your interested, will be cheap I think but is in Plymouth (if she still has it)

    You could have a peek at the Bike Forum’s portal page here Select ‘Buy a bike’ from the menu and then ‘Ebay less than £500’. It lists the auctions by finish time (soonest first). I’ve seen a couple go very cheap now the weather is naff.

    Just bought a very low mileage and completely standard 1995 Fireblade from forum member Gordy. Haven’t got any pictures yet as the ones I took of it with my phone were crap.

    Just got to figure out how to get it from Norwich to Evesham.

    Now out to clear a space in the garage for it.
