aye, they is a cracking bike, nice to ride
The Thundercat was always in the shadow of the contempary CBR600, GSXR600 and ZX6R of the period. Never really understood why, I have ridden all them at various points and there is virtually nothing to seperate them in terms of on the road performance. The GSXR is much edgier and extreme but actually no faster,the ZX6R has a beast of engine, so typically Kawasaki, but the cat will hit 155, so no slouich. It is most akin to the CBR od the period. The thing that confuses many that ride it is the comparitively soft suspension…this doen’t mean it can’t be hussled.
This vid does prove how much fun can be had with relatively small amounts of money
ZZR600 is another cheap way to go very fast
