The restored Bluebird powerboat used by Sir Malcolm Campbell to break the world water speed record in the 1930s has been tested at speed at Bewl Water.
Owner Karl Foulkes Halbard took the hydroplane out on to the reservoir on the Kent and Sussex border, but mechanical trouble brought the run to an early end.
A team of people have spent more than 22 years restoring the boat to her former glory at Filching Manor Motor Museum in Polegate, East Sussex.
The powerboat, made on the Isle of Wight, broke the water speed record twice in 1937 and once in 1938 at 130mph (209km/h).
