Have put a ‘Shoutbox’ on the bottom of every page. This sends an instant message to everyone, eg ‘I’ll be in the chat room at 7PM’ etc. The messages are public, not private, and non-members can use it too. To refresh, either visit another page in the forum or click ‘Send’.
