Yesterday’s fastest rider, Valentino Rossi has continued his dominance at the MotoGP Official Test this morning. The reigning World Champion, Rossi took just under twenty minutes to top the table, with his fastest lap as of 1pm local time of 1’43.704 putting him first. A cloudy day with a cold breeze sees the Italian’s teammate Colin Edwards holding the third fastest time, with John Hopkins sandwiched inbetween the two and showing formidable form onboard the GSV-R.
Amongst those to take to the track early this morning were Sete Gibernau, Alex Hoffman and Hopkins. Once again it was Rossi who would take to the track last at the Circuit de Catalunya, a schedule which clearly suits him, as he remains the only rider to clock a lap under 1’43.
Behind the top three, Gibernau, Shinya Nakano and Carlos Checa were fourth, fifth and sixth respectively. Checa continues to show good form at the test behind the bars of the M1.
