Any ideas how to reg a second hand bike with no paperwork that has never been on the road? tyJune 12, 2012 at 10:43 pm #63834
Been a while since ive done this but from memory i had to get a dating certificate from an owners club, then have the bike looked over at the local dvla centre who simply checked it was what i said on the application (numbers etc) then had to show valid insurance & have the tax money to hand there & then, think i’d already mot’d the bike on the frame number the v5 & tax was sent out within a couple of weeks
As i said its been a while so check with your local dvla or vosa office to be sure, they were very helpfull in my case (stock grey import) but expect hassle if its not stock cos they wont know what theyre looking at & may ask for an svaJune 12, 2012 at 10:47 pm #63835

not a clue on that one i’m afraid well out of my area of operations so all i can suggest is to contact VOSA & ask them, they have always been very helpful in the past.July 18, 2012 at 3:30 pm #63839PaulJCParticipant
