I was told about this a couple of days ago. Word is that he wheelied rapidly away from the Cafe at Quatford and ran into a car coming off the carpark of the former Little Chef over the road.

    BBC News report :-

A man believed to be in his 40s died when his motorcycle was in collision with a car in Shropshire.

The incident happened on the A442 at Quatford, near Bridgnorth, at about 1545 BST on Sunday. (Thats Sunday 9th October)

The man was pronounced dead at the scene after his Kawasaki motorbike was in collision with a Honda CR-V car, said police who appealed for witnesses.

“The occupants of the car were not injured but left shaken by the incident,” a spokeswoman said.

Pc Tim Street, of West Mercia Police, said the area had been busy at the time of the incident and a number of witnesses had already spoken to officers.

“We believe there will have been others who would have seen the crash or either vehicle immediately beforehand,” he added.

The road was closed until after 2100 BST on Sunday while police investigations took place.

Whoops, yes Radar, silly me the date WAS wrong it was the week earlier – Sunday 4th October BUT unfortunately its a different tragedy. I now realise I’d just left the Cafe minutes before it happened.

Rather than post anything further as we don’t really like to labour on the subject of accidents, here is a link to the local papers report :-
