ModeratorAfter a frustrating first week of ownership when a combination of work and family commitments, backed up by adverse weather meant that the XJR remained tucked up in the garage, it was really good to put a few miles on my new bike. I am very pleased to report that the favourable impression that I formed on my test ride is proving to be accurate, Basically this bike is a honey to ride and I am so looking forward to spring 2006!
The XJR has an easy going but deceptively swift mile munching capability and journey seems to melt past in smooth flow of torque. The performance at the top end is not amazing, the T cat is faster, but the mid range grunt is quite addictive! After years on 2 strokes and buzzy sports fours this is quite a new experience for me. On the XJR it is almost as though you think your way past traffic, you think where you want to be an the XJR takes you there effortlessly.
So far I have done less than 80 miles so it is hard to elvaluate it more fully. Heres hoping that the weather is kind this weekend!XJR1300SP – Does the SP = Suzi Perry!!??[

LOVE IS GIVING SOMEONE THE ABILITY TO DESTROY YOU, THEN TRUSTING THEM NOT TO.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, VODKA in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming…….WOO HOO, WHAT A RIDE!!

ParticipantHi R. Looks neat. The colour scheme suits my tastes. The fairing should make it truly usable too. Good choice!
